Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
  • How can I purchase from Find it EZ?

    There are five ways you can purchase from us:

    1. Purchase securely online with a credit card or PayPal, by choosing which products you are interested in, filling in your details, and submitting your order. Immediately upon confirmation of payment, your order is completed, you will be automatically emailed a receipt, which will be marked as paid. This will have the relevant license keys to enable you to download and use the software.
    2. Purchase securely online requesting an invoice. If a purchase order is provided along with an optional authorized signature document attachment, you will be automatically emailed your net 30 day invoice along with the relevant license keys to enable you to download and use the software.
    3. Create your own quote online, by selecting your products and saving the quote. Quotes are valid for 15 days.
    4. Alternatively, email us at sales@finditez.com to request a quote, including your contact information and email, specifying which product(s) and number of licenses you are interested in.
    5. Pay for your saved quotes or invoices using the payment options outlined on the invoice or quote sent. You may pay by check, money order, bank wire transfer. You will then be sent a receipt once payment is successfully processed ( can take 3 to 5 business days following receipt of payment ), which will include the relevant license keys to download the software ready for use.

    We can quote and invoice in US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, Euros or Australian Dollars.

    Please note that bank wire transfers can only be paid in US or Canadian Dollars. If you would like to pay by bank wire, you can transfer your quote or invoice into US Dollars from your order list tab in the secure member area.

  • Do I have to pay tax?

    This depends on where you're located:

    • If you are based in the Canada, you will be charged GST, HST and/or PST based on your ship-to address.
    • If your shipping address is outside of Canada, you won't be charged tax on your purchase.
  • Do I have to pay for shipping?

    No. As all our products are supplied electronically, there are no shipping or distribution costs.

  • My company requires you to fill out a W9 form. What should I do?

    Download a copy of our W8-BEN-E form.

    You may also get a copy of our W8-BEN-E form from the Resources page, Documents tab. The documents tab also contains a vendor contact fact sheet for setting up Find it EZ Software Corp. as a new vendor on your accounts payable system.

  • When will I receive the product if I pay via a credit card or purchase order?

    As soon as your online order is successfully processed, you will receive an email that will contain invoice information (if you pay by credit card, this will show as paid) and will contain the activation keys that you have purchased. All online orders are processed immediately.

  • Is there a money-back guarantee?

    If you are unhappy with the product, please contact us and we will do our best to solve the problem for you.

    As we have a free trial period for all of our products with complimentary, unlimited enquiries and support, we do not offer a full refund policy.

    However, if within 30 days of purchase you run into an issue and in the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied we have been unable to resolve the issues you have been having, we will refund the amount you've paid, on the understanding that you will destroy any licenses received, and uninstall the software. Outside of this period (more than 15 days after purchase) any refunds will be at Find it EZ's sole discretion.

  • How do I activate my products after purchase?

    When you purchase the product, you are sent an invoice that contains your serial number. You use the serial number to activate the product. If you cannot find your invoice, you can view your serial numbers online in the secure members area.

    If you are reinstalling products on the same computer, for example following installation of a new operating system, you can re-activate the products using the same serial number (this does not affect the number of distinct activations for the serial number). To install products on a different computer, you can deactivate the products on the old computer using the Tools->License Management menu within the product, or submit an online license transfer request by viewing details for the selected license, and then re-activate them on the new computer.

    Note: License transfers for named user licenses require an active support plan.

  • Can I upgrade bundle or purchase more licenses later?

    Yes. Please contact us with details of what you have, and what you would like, for special pricing information.

  • Do I have to pay for updates?

    All minor releases, such as minor bug fixes, are free. For major updates, customers with an active Software Assurance plan receive upgrades to the latest version of the product they've purchased, for free.

    For customers that have allowed their annual Software Assurance plan to lapse, upgrade pricing may be available at Find it EZ's sole discretion depending on the circumstances. Please contact sales@finditez.com for more information.

  • Do you offer discounts for non-profit organizations?

    Yes. Please contact sales@finditez.com for special pricing information. We offer a 25% discount for registered charitable organizations. Independent verification is required and we will request your registered tax ID along with copies of your tax exemption status notice and/or company registration forms.

Support and upgrades for your products

A support package provides you with free upgrades for major releases, the ability to transfer named user licenses and priority, unlimited support incidents. We designed it as a way of lowering total cost of ownership for our products.

Upgrades

For the duration of your support package, you won't need to pay for upgrades, which should help in two ways:

  1. If your software assurance maintenance plan lapses, full license purchase is required for access to any subsequent major release upgrades when they come out, so it's likely that your support package will save you money!
  2. The users of your software automatically receive the latest features when they come out, with none of the fuss or delay that can occur when you have to go through another purchasing process. The internal hassle and cost associated with buying software upgrades is often high. With a support package, this cost is removed completely.
Support

For the duration of your support package, you will receive priority, unlimited incident support from our dedicated product support team. We'll do our best to answer any questions by email and, if necessary, by telephone or webex conference. We normally resolve problems within 24 service hours.

Administration

As a support owner, you don't need to take any active steps to receive support. Everything is handled by our systems. The status of your support and upgrades package is recorded in our internal systems and in the purchaser's purchase documents. This means we can send every support owner an up-to-date license whenever a new version comes out and that we can evaluate whether a support request is backed by a support package.

Purchasing support and upgrades

Support and upgrade packages are purchased when you buy our products.

  • If your support and upgrade package has lapsed, and you want to purchase an upgrade, please contact sales@finditez.com or submit a new order for purchase of new product license(s).
  • If you selected the convenience of auto-renewal on check-out and payment for your order, you will be sent an invoice annually or your credit card will be automatically charged on the anniversary date.
  • If you need renewal assistance or wish to extend your renewal for more then one year, please contact sales@finditez.com with your order or license serial numbers.
Upgrade Policy

All minor releases, such as minor bug fixes, are free. For major updates, supported customers receive upgrades to the latest version of the product they've purchased, for free. To get the latest version, go to Check for updates in the Help menu of the product.

For those customers without a current support and upgrade package, the Find it EZ upgrade policy is to charge the full current product cost.

To purchase an edition upgrade or to add additional licenses for the same product, please email sales@finditez.com telling us your license key, which product you would like to upgrade, and the number of licenses you would like to upgrade. We will issue you a discounted upgrade quote within 1 business day.

License types for Find it EZ products

Find it EZ products are either sold or leased under two distinct license plans:

  • Perpetual - Permanent right to use license. First year software assurance is included with access to all minor and major upgrades for free. Optional software assurance includes the ability to request a license transfer.
  • Software As A Service (SaaS) - Annual renewable contract lease plan. If your contract is not renewed, the product can no longer be used and all licenses are automatically disabled upon expiry of the contract term.

Under either plan, there are also two available end-user license types to chose from:

  • Name User Licenses (NULs) - Each license is associated with a single, unique windows user login and host machine combination. NULs are transferable between machines and/or users but must go through an automated transfer request, vendor review and approval process at the sole discretion of Find it EZ. Note: License transfers for named user licenses require an active support plan.
  • Concurrent Access Licenses (CALs) - Each license is associated with a Windows host machine, but floating amongst all domain users. Also commonly known as floating licenses. Only limited in use to the maximum number of concurrent connection (licenses) purchased.
